Draw Leaf of Victoria's Dining Table
A draw leaf is unquestionably the best way to incorporate leaves on a table. In addition to the obvious convenience of storage, it allows the wood grain to run the
length of the table without leaf "break lines", making for a much more pleasing appearance. The draw leaf is an old application but what makes this table's design
unique is the elimination of an apron along the base which would have seriously and negatively affected the appearance of this table. I devised a runner system using
a system of very strong magnets that allows the leaf to slide out under the table and then pull up to table height once fully extended.
